A state council is only as useful as what it can see coming. Ours comes from two national affiliations.
Most of what decides Wisconsin digital policy is not written in Wisconsin. Federal market-structure law, model state statutes, and the arguments that travel between state capitols all originate elsewhere — and a state council that only watches Madison finds out too late.
WDBC holds two standing national affiliations, both carried over from its work as the Wisconsin Blockchain Business Council.
Why affiliations are a member benefit, not a logo
These relationships are the reason our legislative tracker can flag a Wisconsin bill as a copy of something already argued in another state, and the reason we could tell members in 2025 what federal stablecoin law would leave to the states. The GENIUS Act became law in July 2025; the state-level opportunity it opened is now the center of our 2027 agenda.
