Events
Good policy gets built in rooms where industry, institutions, and lawmakers are actually in the same place. These are the rooms WDBC has convened — and the coalitions we have joined.
Convening power
Why we put people in a room
Testimony moves a bill a few inches. A senator hearing directly from the founder whose business the bill governs moves it further. Our forums exist to make that contact happen on the record.
Where we have been
Wisconsin’s Digital Asset Policy Forum
A statewide convening on digital-asset policy, bringing the conversation out of Madison and Milwaukee and into central Wisconsin.
GBBC Blockchain Central DC 2025
WDBC represented Wisconsin at the Global Blockchain Business Council’s flagship Washington convening — carrying the state’s creator economy and builder community into the national conversation.
CLARITY Act sign-on letter
WDBC joined the Stand With Crypto Wisconsin chapter in signing a letter to Senator Ron Johnson supporting the CLARITY Act, which passed the House 294–134. Clear market-structure rules are a precondition for Wisconsin’s digital-asset businesses to grow.
Wisconsin Digital Policy Forum
An evening at the Milwaukee County Historical Society built around the WIN Bill — the Office of Financial Technology Innovation Act — as the cornerstone digital policy for the session. The program paired a founder showcase demonstrating blockchain’s real-world impact in Wisconsin communities with a policy panel, “The WIN Bill: Advancing Digital & Financial Innovation.”
What comes next
Our 2027 program is built around the two bills that will decide whether Wisconsin leads or follows: a state digital-dollar framework, and the AI consumer-protection package that failed to pass last session. Both need rooms like these before they need votes. Members help shape the agenda — and get the invitation first.
