Who is responsible for your data

The organization responsible for personal information collected through wdbc.io is Wisconsin Blockchain Business Council, Inc., a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(6) business league, which operates under the name Wisconsin Digital Business Council.

What we collect

We collect only what the site needs to work:

• Account information you provide at registration: name, email address, and, for organizational members, your company and role.
• Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
• An address you enter in Find your legislators. It is used once, to identify your Wisconsin state legislative districts, and is not stored.
• Basic technical data your browser sends automatically, essential cookies that keep you logged in, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages are read. We use Google Analytics and our own first-party analytics. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting how the site works.

How we use it

We use your information to operate your membership, send account notices, understand how the site is used, and, only if you opt in, send WDBC newsletters and Intelligence Briefings. You can unsubscribe from any non-essential email at any time.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:

• Service providers that run parts of the site on our behalf, including our payment processor, our email and membership systems, and Google Analytics (which receives page-view data, not your name or email). Card details are handled entirely by the payment processor; WDBC never stores your full payment card number.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of WDBC, our members, or the public.

Aggregate, de-identified figures, such as the number of members in a region, may be published or shown on this site. These never identify individuals.

Retention and your choices

We keep account information for as long as your membership is active and as needed for our legal and financial records. You may request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account by emailing team@wdbc.io.
