Privacy Policy

Who is responsible for your data
The organization responsible for personal information collected through wdbc.io is Wisconsin Blockchain Business Council, Inc., a Wisconsin nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(6) business league, doing business as Wisconsin Digital Business Council.
What we collect
We collect only what the site needs to work:
- Account information you provide at registration — name, email address, and, for organizational members, your company and role.
- Your address, used solely to identify your Wisconsin state legislative districts so civic action messages reach the correct representatives.
- Civic action content — the messages you choose to send to legislators through our tools.
- Basic technical data your browser sends automatically, and essential cookies needed to keep you logged in.
How we use it
We use your information to operate your membership, route your civic action messages to the right legislative offices, send account notices, and — only if you opt in — send WDBC newsletters and briefings. You can unsubscribe from any non-essential email at any time.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Legislative offices receive the messages you choose to send, along with the name and address you supply — that identifying information is what makes you a verifiable constituent.
- Service providers that run parts of the site on our behalf, including our payment processor. Card details are handled entirely by that processor; WDBC never stores your full payment card number.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of WDBC, our members, or the public.
Aggregate, de-identified figures — such as the number of members in a region — may be published or shown on this site. These never identify individuals.
Retention and your choices
We keep account information for as long as your membership is active and as needed for our legal and financial records. You may request a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account by emailing team@wdbc.io. Messages already delivered to a legislative office become part of that office’s record and cannot be recalled by us.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above. Questions about privacy: team@wdbc.io.
