WBBC is now the Wisconsin Digital Business Council
Same 501(c)(6). Same board. Same work in Madison. A name that finally matches the remit.
As of today the Wisconsin Blockchain Business Council operates as the Wisconsin Digital Business Council.
This is a change of name, not of organization. Same nonpartisan 501(c)(6) business league, same members, same board, same work in Madison. What changed is the honest scope of it.
A name that says blockchain tells a manufacturer weighing an AI deployment that we are not their organization. We are. The name was doing the opposite of its job.
Why now
When the council was founded, blockchain was the whole argument. It is not any more. The three bills we backed last session were about digital assets — but the bills that died alongside them were about artificial intelligence in health coverage, algorithmic rent-setting, consumer data privacy, and who pays for the grid that data centers draw on. The businesses calling us were asking about all of it.
What is not changing
Our positions, our record, and our independence. Everything the council did as WBBC stays on this site under the WBBC name, because a record you quietly restamp is not a record. Archived items are attributed to the organization as it was called at the time.
Membership, the legislative tracker, and every existing commitment carry over unchanged.
